Ho visto il personale lavorare incredibilmente duramente, anche nel tempo lontano dall'ufficio per sostenere le persone che hanno bisogno di assistenza in tutta l'area della California Southland e della Greater Los Angeles.

Non ho trovato nulla di utile con l'Associazione Alzheimer poiché mia madre ha combattuto questa malattia per diversi anni. C'era una completa mancanza di supporto telefonico. Non c'era nessuno a dirmi come gestire questa malattia e quale testo SPECT. Non importa i dottori che sono molto sprezzanti e potrebbero preoccuparsi di meno degli anziani e dell'Alzheimer, ma mi aspettavo di più dalla Southern California Association. Ho solo combattuto da solo cercando di ricercare il più possibile sulla malattia e su cosa aspettarmi. Ma a volte vorrei sicuramente che ci fosse qualcuno con cui poter parlare che potesse aiutarmi e cercare di occuparmi di mia madre e di quello che stava passando perché non riuscivo a capirlo. Non capivo che non stesse deliberatamente cercando di essere difficile, ma che la sua mente o quel che ne restava non potevano impedirle di comportarsi come faceva. C'erano volte in cui piangevo per i suoi confronti con me non sapendo che questo faceva tutto parte della malattia. Pensavo solo che avesse a che fare con la memoria, non avevo idea che non solo uccidesse le cellule cerebrali, ma anche le cellule cerebrali che controllavano le funzioni corporee. Alla fine è morta di una morte orribile a causa della malattia. Ma ancora una volta mi aspetto che l'Associazione Alzheimer mi tenga la mano, ma non mi aspettavo che mi venissero lanciate addosso solo un mucchio di pubblicazioni inutili, e specialmente durante una pandemia quella avrebbe dovuto essere il mio supporto telefonico sapendo che non c'erano incontri che Potrei partecipare e inoltre come posso anche andare alle riunioni quando ero il suo principale assistente. Come avvertimento per coloro che si prendono cura di un genitore di Alzheimer, per favore, per favore, cercalo da solo e inizia immediatamente ad andare su Google e cercare tutto da solo perché non c'è davvero supporto là fuori per te a meno che tu non abbia una famiglia e amici che hanno subito la malattia

Le cure di emergenza che mia madre di 88 anni ha ricevuto all'Alzheimer's Association California Southland Chapter dal dottor Alexander e dal suo team le hanno salvato la vita e le hanno ripristinato la parola e le capacità motorie che aveva perso. Sono in soggezione di questa squadra e, sebbene possano esibirsi a questo livello di eccellenza ogni giorno, ho solo una madre e non c'è dubbio che le abbiano SALVATO LA VITA!
