Vivevo nell'atrio quando avevo 16 anni, ero così solo, nessuno mi voleva che mia madre mi cacciasse via perché gli assegni familiari erano cessati. Ero arrabbiato e triste. Il foyer era lì per me quando nessun altro c'era, anche quando non me lo meritavo. La mia assistente non ha mai rinunciato ad aiutarmi anche quando le ho urlato contro, ho infranto le regole e ho lasciato il college. Mi ha aiutato a rimettermi in carreggiata, ha lottato per me quando tutti gli altri hanno ceduto, il Natale mi fa pensare al foyer anche adesso e sono grato per l'aiuto che mi hai dato. Helen indovina cosa sono un insegnante di scuola elementare ora!! Tutti gli operatori di supporto si prendono cura di te, quindi se i tuoi senzatetto e hanno bisogno di aiuto chiedi loro se possono aiutarti, lo faranno

Sono stato residente qui dal 2012-2014, non solo ho avuto il miglior periodo della mia vita, ma è stata una fondazione che mi ha aiutato ad arrivare dove sono oggi. Se non fosse stato per il foyer di Manchester e il loro staff sarei stato in strada a 17 anni e Dio sa dove sarò ora a 25. Helen era la mia assistente, passava molto tempo ad ascoltare i miei problemi e a dare mi buon consiglio, Helen è la migliore. Devo molto al foyer di Manchester.

8 dipendenti a tempo pieno e 4 volontari, in servizio dalle 8:00 alle 20:00 con personale di sicurezza dalle 20:00 alle 8:00 e nei fine settimana. Sistema di chiavi obbligatorie (14 residenti per lavoratore), con incontri almeno mensili. Piani di supporto con risultati concordati, rivisti ogni 3 mesi. Il sostegno diminuisce man mano che i residenti avanzano nel programma. Viene offerto supporto in materia di competenze per la vita, budgeting, istruzione, occupazione e consulenza per il reinsediamento.
