Sono stato uno studente in linea con 3,5 gpa e mi sono laureato con un MDiv nella primavera del 2021. In generale, ho adorato il materiale accademico e ho prosperato con l'impostazione in linea. Non ho mai ricevuto alcun tipo di avvertenza o consiglio riguardo ai miei progressi. Nel dicembre 2019, sono stato informato che i risultati della mia "Middler Review" erano che non mi sarebbe stato permesso di laurearmi con un MDiv da CTS. Ho fatto appello con il supporto di lettere di sostegno molto forti da parte dei supervisori del mio CPE e stage pastorale. Sono stato nuovamente rifiutato. Ho chiesto espressamente quali prove siano della mia inadeguatezza, nessuna è stata offerta. Non è possibile appellarsi ulteriormente. Sperando che ci fosse un risarcimento, ho inviato il testo di questo messaggio all'ufficio del presidente e ho chiesto se dovrebbe esserci qualche correzione, purtroppo non c'è correzione. La facoltà può buttarti fuori senza dare una ragione in qualsiasi momento del tuo corso di studi

Ha radici storiche con la Chiesa Unita di Cristo, ma oggi è ecumenica e interreligiosa, con docenti provenienti da diversi contesti cristiani, ebrei e musulmani. Una solida formazione teologica, biblica e psicologica. Prende sul serio le questioni di fede e giustizia razziale e la giustizia LGBTQ. L'ermeneutica nera, donna, femminista, postcoloniale e queer applicata qui. Per qualcuno che non conosce CTS, controlla il catalogo dei corsi: scoprirai abbastanza rapidamente se è un luogo per la tua crescita teologica.

Ho avuto un'esperienza simile a Kenneth Gordon. Mi è stato detto che non potevo completare il mio MDiv, dopo una serie di appelli, mi hanno detto che non potevo completare la mia laurea. Avevo un GPA alto e volevo disperatamente diventare un cappellano. Non mi è stato dato alcun motivo, tranne che era riservato e la decisione è stata presa. Ha schiacciato il mio spirito e fino ad oggi non ho alcuna spiegazione per questo. Ho un debito ridicolo, nessun Mdiv e anche se la mia conferenza della chiesa mi stava accettando, CTS non lo era. Sono anche nello spettro dell'autismo, che avevo dichiarato nella mia domanda, che sospetto avesse qualcosa a che fare con questo. Hanno rovinato la mia carriera e la mia vita.

Sono anche un'istituzione privata in modo che possano farla franca con la discriminazione e terminare la carriera di una persona senza spiegazioni. Tuttavia, vorrei ricordare loro che devono ancora seguire l'ADA perché ricevono finanziamenti federali tramite prestiti agli studenti. Quello che mi hanno fatto e che hanno fatto agli altri è inconcepibile e al di là di qualsiasi cosa mi aspetterei da un'istituzione di fede.
