Benvenuti alla chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Giorgio, una piccola comunità fondata nel 1922 da un gruppo di immigrati greci principalmente dalle aree del Peloponneso di Langadia e Agios Petros. Oggi siamo orgogliosi di servire i bisogni religiosi di tutti i cristiani ortodossi, compresi i convertiti, quelli nei matrimoni interreligiosi, i single e gli anziani, le coppie sposate e le famiglie.
La nostra chiesa si trova, dove offriamo servizi ed eventi regolari per i nostri membri e visitatori. La nostra missione è fornire un ambiente accogliente in cui le persone possano riunirsi per adorare Dio, conoscere la loro fede, entrare in contatto con gli altri nella loro comunità e crescere spiritualmente.
Alla chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Giorgio, crediamo che la nostra fede non sia solo qualcosa che pratichiamo la domenica, ma qualcosa che dovrebbe essere integrato in ogni aspetto della nostra vita. Ecco perché offriamo una varietà di programmi e attività progettati per aiutare i nostri membri ad approfondire la loro comprensione dell'Ortodossia, costruendo anche relazioni con gli altri nella chiesa.
Uno di questi programmi è il nostro programma della Scuola Domenicale per bambini dai 3 ai 18 anni. I nostri insegnanti dedicati lavorano duramente per creare lezioni coinvolgenti che insegnino ai bambini la loro fede rendendola anche divertente e interattiva. Abbiamo anche un programma di educazione per adulti che offre lezioni su vari argomenti legati all'Ortodossia.
Oltre a questi programmi, abbiamo anche diversi ministeri che soddisfano esigenze diverse all'interno della nostra comunità. La nostra Philoptochos Society fornisce supporto a coloro che sono malati o che affrontano difficoltà finanziarie, mentre il nostro ministero giovanile aiuta i giovani a entrare in contatto tra loro attraverso eventi sociali come serate di cinema o serate di giochi.
Naturalmente, al centro di tutto ciò che facciamo nella chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Giorgio c'è l'adorazione di Dio attraverso la preghiera e la liturgia. Offriamo servizi regolari per tutta la settimana, inclusa la Divina Liturgia la domenica, nonché servizi speciali durante la Quaresima e altri giorni di festa importanti.
