Ho fatto la mia certificazione PADI in acque libere qui. L'istruttore (e altri professionisti delle immersioni) erano bravi, comprensivi e molto disponibili. Anche le persone che gestiscono il negozio di immersione erano super cordiali.
Seven Seas scuba è convenientemente situato su Cannery Row, e le vere immersioni in acque libere vengono effettuate sulla spiaggia a meno di 100 metri di distanza. Ciò rende le cose come la ricarica delle bombole vuote, il noleggio dell'attrezzatura o la restituzione dell'attrezzatura davvero facile.
L'unico aspetto negativo che vedo è l'acqua fredda di Monterey, che spesso ha una visibilità molto bassa. Ho perso il mio amico un paio di volte mentre attraversavo sezioni in cui la visibilità era di soli 3 piedi. Naturalmente, il negozio non ha alcun controllo su questo.
Voglio fare un'immersione guidata con Seven Seas ieri (come un principiante OWD) e ho avuto un'ottima esperienza. Dave, il divemaster/istruttore, era molto simpatico ed entusiasta, ed è stato fantastico immergersi. Anche l'attrezzatura a noleggio era in ottime condizioni.
L'aspetto decisivo di questo negozio di immersioni è però la posizione: è direttamente dall'altra parte della strada rispetto al frangiflutti, quindi se vuoi immergerti lì, puoi semplicemente vestirti nel negozio, camminare e saltare in acqua.
