Ho contattato Whitney Smith presso Seaback Roofing and Restoration per valutare il tetto e determinare se fosse necessario presentare un reclamo assicurativo. Dopo la sua ispezione del tetto, è stato stabilito che un reclamo doveva essere presentato alla nostra compagnia di assicurazioni.
Dopo che il tetto è stato ispezionato dalla nostra compagnia di assicurazioni, abbiamo ricevuto un assegno per il nostro reclamo e abbiamo assunto Seaback Roofing and Restoration per completare le riparazioni. I lavori sul nostro tetto sono iniziati il 15 agosto 2019.
Fino a questo punto, c'erano stati piccoli ritardi. Quando ho confrontato il foglio di ciò che avrebbe dovuto essere riparato in base alla richiesta di risarcimento all'assicurazione, con ciò che Seaback Roofing aveva riparato, abbiamo riscontrato alcune discrepanze. Inizialmente, c'è stato un ritardo perché è stato consegnato un lucernario di dimensioni errate. Ci sono volute settimane per installare il lucernario corretto. Nuove prese d'aria sul tetto dovevano essere installate e, a un esame più attento, non lo furono mai. Questo è stato risolto da Seaback Roofing solo dopo che ho protestato e chiesto se avevano ispezionato il lavoro svolto dalla squadra di copertura. Si è verificato un danno al telaio della finestra esterno che ha richiesto settimane per essere risolto e la riparazione finale ha comportato l'uso estensivo di silicone trasparente per la riparazione.
Una volta che Seaback Roofing and Restoration aveva stabilito che le riparazioni erano terminate, ci è stata fatturata e il pagamento finale è stato effettuato il 4 ottobre 2019.
Il 26 ottobre 2019, abbiamo notato una notevole perdita d'acqua proveniente dal soffitto nella stanza dei giochi dei nostri bambini. Ho immediatamente informato Seaback Roofing and Restoration della perdita. Non è stata intrapresa alcuna azione da Seaback fino al 16 novembre 2019, quando una persona si è presentata per riparare il muro a secco del soffitto. Come evidenziato dalle foto, il lavoro svolto è stato estremamente scadente. Dopo che ho protestato, un altro equipaggio è stato inviato per riparare la riparazione. Anche in questo caso, il loro lavoro era scadente, come dimostra la loro disponibilità a riutilizzare l'isolamento del soffitto bagnato fradicio. Ho nuovamente protestato e Seaback ha inviato un altro dipendente per cercare di riparare il muro a secco. Questa persona ha fatto un ottimo lavoro e il suo lavoro sembrava buono.
Il 5 dicembre 2019 il tetto ha iniziato a perdere di nuovo. Ho contattato Whitney e ha affermato che stava mandando una troupe a coprire il tetto. Nessun lavoro del genere è mai stato eseguito come evidenziato dalle foto. Il nostro tetto continua a fuoriuscire fino ad oggi e la stanza dei giochi dei nostri bambini non è più utilizzabile a causa della paura di muffe e funghi.
Seaback Roofing and Restoration ha smesso di comunicare anche dopo diversi tentativi di contattarli.
