Il Salem Art Fair & Festival è uno dei più grandi festival all'aperto dell'Oregon con oltre 200 artisti provenienti da tutto il Nord America che mettono in mostra il loro lavoro su più mezzi tra cui ceramica/terracotta; soffiatura del vetro/produzione di sculture; creazione di gioielli / lavorazione dei metalli tra gli altri.
Oltre alle esposizioni di arti visive/stand di vendita, ci sono anche esibizioni di musica dal vivo di musicisti/gruppi locali durante i festeggiamenti di ogni giorno che vanno dal venerdì alla domenica ogni anno durante il mese di luglio di ogni anno!
Museo Casa Bush
Il Bush House Museum si trova in Mission Street SE vicino al centro di Salem. Questa dimora storica fu costruita nel 1878 da Asahel Bush II, un importante uomo d'affari/politico durante il suo periodo di servizio come editore/editore per il quotidiano Statesman Journal (ora noto semplicemente come "Statesman").
Oggi i visitatori possono visitare questa splendida dimora in stile vittoriano che è stata restaurata con arredi/manufatti d'epoca che riflettono la vita durante l'era della fine del XIX secolo, quando fu costruita/occupata dagli stessi membri della famiglia Asahel! I visitatori possono conoscere la vita e la storia dei primi pionieri mentre si godono viste mozzafiato sulla valle del fiume Willamette sottostante!
