I visited the Riserva Naturale Orientata Isola delle Femmine and had an alright experience. The landscapes were beautiful, but I was hoping for more activities or guided tours. It's a good place to relax and enjoy nature, but it may not suit everyone's preferences.

Si spera che luoghi come questo siano sempre protetti e salvaguardati. E che questo pezzo di terra in mezzo al mare sia una riserva naturale lascia un barlume di speranza; Alla speranza che, nel tempo, non si abusi di superficialità, disinteresse, disattenzione e disaffezione, questo piccolo diamante incastonato nel mare, a circa trecento metri dal litorale del comune di Isola delle Femmine. Questa area naturale dell'isolotto fa parte della riserva naturale istituita nel 1997 dalla Regione Sicilia, che nel 1998 ha affidato l'isolotto a Lipu, per un buon motivo poiché in questo luogo si possono trovare, a seconda delle stagioni, diverse specie di uccelli e tra queste specie di uccelli migratori, poter ammirare un piccolo martin pescatore che vibra sull'acqua è già un buon motivo per rivivere l'esperienza e apprezzare questo angolo di Sicilia tra la costa e l'isolotto. Non meno pregiate sono le specie floristiche e marine; i miei ricordi risalgono al tempo in cui i resti della torre non predicevano l'abbandono e il degrado ma il fascino della leggenda e del passato storico, quando era ancora facile e ordinario vedere una stella marina o un cavalluccio marino a pochi metri di profondità e vicino alla costa. Resti archeologici sono stati trovati anche sui fondali marini di questa zona. Oggi il luogo soffre un po 'ma conserva tutto il suo fascino, si spera che oltre alla tutela attiva e all'azione concreta per contrastare ogni abuso ci sia la volontà di investire fondi per la conservazione e la cura.
