Sono andato un paio di anni fa per una valutazione da adulto riguardo alle mie lotte sociali e all'università. Mi ha fatto fare un paio di esercizi infantili e umilianti, poi ha scritto una diagnosi aspra e condiscendente in pratica dicendo che era tutto nella mia testa e che stavo immaginando le cose. Sono passati circa 3 o 4 anni e mi è stato definitivamente diagnosticato l'ADHD e il disturbo da stress post-traumatico da anni in cui cercavo di apparire "normale" nel mondo neurotipico. Abbastanza triste che qualcuno che dovrebbe specializzarsi nel riconoscimento dei neurodivergenti perda qualcosa di così palesemente ovvio. Ha davvero rallentato i miei progressi per migliorare alla fine.

Sono un adulto che stava lottando per avere successo sul posto di lavoro. Ho pagato circa $ 1000 per fare il test e l'unica cosa che hanno concluso i loro test era che avevo ansia e depressione, che già conoscevo. Anni dopo sono andato da un fisico che era coperto dalla mia assicurazione e ho pagato un co-pagamento di $ 30 e hanno stabilito che avevo l'ADHD. Ho difficoltà a capire perché Neuro Development ha mancato questa diagnosi. Risparmia un po 'di soldi e consulta un fisico coperto dalla tua assicurazione, è più probabile che ti diagnostichi correttamente più dello sviluppo neurologico.

Nostro figlio è stato valutato qui e il dottor Barth è stato davvero fantastico. Ha reso ogni fase del processo facile ed educativa. Una volta che a mio figlio è stato diagnosticato un ritardo linguistico, ci ha dato più risorse e ci ha parlato di ognuna. Consiglio vivamente il Dr. Barth e tutto il gentile staff del NeuroDevelopment Center of Colorado !!!

Stiamo utilizzando il centro di neurosviluppo per la seconda volta in tre anni. I terapisti sono amichevoli e scrupolosi e sono la ragione per cui ora so che mio figlio ha un ADHD grave e autismo. Sì, il test è lungo ed è vigoroso, e se sei fuori città equivale a pochi viaggi o più. Ma non vale la pena conoscere veramente le esigenze di tuo figlio? È grazie a questo Centro che ho potuto ottenere tutto l'aiuto di cui mio figlio ha bisogno.
