Mia moglie ed io siamo entrambi in pensione con una bella casa su 5 acri, io sono un sopravvissuto al cancro, stiamo entrambi cercando un amico per compagnia. Questo cane è stato nella mia mente dal primo giorno ... molto scortese!

Avevo esigenze molto specifiche quando cercavo un cane. Tutti a Main Street Mutt sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. Ero molto bisognoso per tutto il tempo, ma tutti erano così pazienti con me. I genitori adottivi da cui ho adottato sono assolutamente fantastici e hanno addestrato il mio nuovo bambino così tante maniere. La mia intera esperienza è stata fantastica e mi hanno aiutato tantissimo.
Non hanno listini prezzi che potrei trovare online. Sono stati $ 350 per adottare il mio cane di 5 anni. Quindi, se non è quello che stai cercando di spendere, guardati intorno. Questo è l'unico lato negativo che ho avuto.

Ho adottato un cucciolo da questa attività attraverso una famiglia affidataria. Sono molto contento del mio nuovo cucciolo, ma le cose sono difficili. In primo luogo, la quota di adozione di $ 450 afferma di coprire le vaccinazioni ... Tranne che quei vaccini non sono somministrati da un veterinario autorizzato, quindi qualsiasi organizzazione (ad esempio compagnie aeree, scuole di comportamento, pensionanti per cani) non li riconoscerà. Quindi, anche se il cucciolo è stato effettivamente vaccinato, abbiamo dovuto ripetere i colpi a prescindere. Inoltre, Main Street Mutt Rescue non ha un numero di telefono perché a quanto pare è un'azienda del diciannovesimo secolo. Inoltre, non hanno risposto a nessuna delle mie e-mail o domande sul cucciolo. (EDIT: alla fine lo hanno fatto, e ci hanno persino messo in contatto con le famiglie che hanno adottato i fratelli del nostro cucciolo, in modo che potessimo fare riferimenti incrociati a tutte le cose sulla salute.)

Quindi, attraverso alcune indagini veterinarie, abbiamo scoperto che ha la giardia, la rogna demodettica, la tosse del canile e un'infezione addominale derivante da qualche tipo di puntura d'insetto. Ci è stato detto che la tosse del canile e l'infezione da morso avrebbero potuto derivare molto probabilmente da dopo l'adozione, ma la giardia era decisamente precedente. Mange è un po 'più complicato, quindi è difficile dare la colpa al salvataggio dei bastardi, ma la loro sorprendente mancanza di professionalità, mancanza di comunicazione e opacità nella presentazione sono tutti i tipi di bandiere rosse che avremmo dovuto notare.

Consiglierei alle persone che stanno cercando di salvare di andare altrove. Ci sono molti cani da rifugio e cuccioli intorno a Whatcom che hanno bisogno di adozione ei loro rifugi continueranno a fornire una comunicazione chiara dopo l'adozione e in realtà somministrano i vaccini correttamente. Sono felice con il mio cucciolo rognoso e ogni cucciolo è un sacco di lavoro, ma c'è chiaramente qualcosa che manca nel modo in cui questo posto conduce gli affari.
