Un posto molto produttivo, un ampio parcheggio, il personale è stato molto gentile. Tuttavia vorrei che il test di saldatura andasse diversamente. (A proposito, la paga era decente)
Mi è stato consegnato un pezzo di prova (giunto a T spesso 3/8 ") e ho iniziato a fare alcune prove di saldatura mig, il filo utilizzato era .045 mig wire. Ho ottenuto la macchina con le impostazioni che volevo e ho chiesto il mio test , che era un tubo quadrato da 1/4 di pollice.
All'inizio stavo andando bene con il mio test, ho notato come il metallo di base non fosse troppo sottile ma nemmeno spesso ... ma mi sentivo comunque a mio agio con le mie impostazioni sapendo che non salderò troppo caldo per bruciare il metallo di base.
A metà operazione, la persona che ha somministrato il test mi ha aumentato la temperatura, ed è stato allora che ho iniziato a depositare saldature che anche io consideravo brutte. (La saldatura Mig non è la mia specialità, ma so che aspetto ha una cattiva saldatura).
Quindi ho continuato il test, non ho cambiato le impostazioni perché stavo pensando che forse questa è la temperatura a cui bruciano. Ciò che mi ha confuso di più è stato il modo in cui è stata selezionata un'impostazione più calda sulla macchina dalla persona che ha eseguito il test, anche se il metallo di base da saldare non era affatto così spesso. Le saldature bruciavano quasi a metà dell'acciaio, dando un aspetto "affondante", quasi scavando il metallo... più un sacco di sottosquadri. Poi la persona che mi ha dato il test di saldatura ha detto che avevo troppo sottosquadro (Beh sì, mi chiedo perché) e mi ha fermato dal test.
Grazie per l'opportunità, ma se dovessi fallire un test di saldatura, almeno lasciami fallire dalle impostazioni di saldatura che ho selezionato sulla macchina ... non da qualcuno che ha cambiato le mie impostazioni a una temperatura più calda per l'acciaio da 1/4 " , anche se ero già a mio agio con le mie impostazioni originali.Non sono sicuro se la persona che ha cambiato la mia temperatura lo abbia fatto intenzionalmente sapendo che le saldature appariranno male, o se voleva vedere come gestisco le temperature più calde.
