G4S è una fusione di 2 delle più grandi società di sicurezza del Regno Unito Group 4 & Securicor. 5 anni dopo la fusione, la nuova società chiamata G4S iniziò a disfarsi e iniziò a fallire come azienda leader nel settore della sicurezza.
Sia Licensed, Appaltatore approvato con accrediti di associazioni di sicurezza, ma la società chiamata G4S è diventata uno zimbello nazionale per la sua gestione negativa dei Giochi Olimpici di Londra nel 2012.
Per qualsiasi società di sicurezza incaricata di reclutare 10.000 addetti alla sicurezza non è cosa da poco da portare a termine e sebbene G4S non sia riuscita a fornire questa cifra è riuscita a trovare 6.500 che di per sé è un risultato che nessuno ha mai fatto prima; il governo è stato costretto a arruolare con 2 settimane prima dell'inizio dei Giochi Olimpici di Londra 3.500 militari britannici.
Una cattiva gestione attraverso la microgestione portò al loro più grande imbarazzo con i Giochi Olimpici e fu convocato per comparire al Commons Select Committee e una pesante multa di milioni.
Sul campo G4S non può autogovernarsi e il proprio personale deve essere supervisionato facendo affidamento su personale estero e la mancanza di una formazione essenziale sulla sicurezza in tempo reale rende G4S inaffidabile nella materia in cui lavorano. G4S ha contratti governativi (il che è preoccupante).
Parte del problema G4S è la licenza Sia che viene testata a tavolino su ogni persona che desidera lavorare in sicurezza e una volta ottenuta la licenza è considerata un addetto alla sicurezza professionale; La licenza Sia pone l'accento sull'essere autorizzati e non essere addestrati come se non avessi la licenza commettessi un reato; questo è qualcosa che SIA deve migliorare.
La sicurezza di base ora ha una licenza, ma il buon senso e la formazione sulla sicurezza sono diventati secondari.
Avendo sperimentato le molte sfaccettature di questa azienda, non credo che G4S sia favorevole alla sicurezza professionale nel Regno Unito;
e la loro licenza SIA e lo stato di Appaltatore approvato dovrebbero essere revocati.
