Devono installare CCTV ad alta definizione su tutti i tram e sulla maggior parte delle fermate poiché i conducenti dei tram possono essere molto offensivi. È già successo. I passeggeri vengono aggrediti e viene negata l'uscita e l'ingresso nel tram dalla porta del tram controllata dall'autista del tram, specialmente sui tram più vecchi. I conducenti non riescono a scusarsi o ad assistere i passeggeri riaprendo la porta, ei passeggeri sono costretti a scendere da soli se bloccati tra la porta e il muro. Attualmente non è previsto alcun risarcimento per lesioni di questo tipo da parte di Yarra Trams. L'unico risarcimento è se il tram arriva in ritardo. Il risarcimento è la tariffa, ma se l'incidente è avvenuto durante la zona franca, non è previsto alcun risarcimento.

La maggior parte dei conducenti è irrispettosa e non si preoccupa del proprio lavoro o dei passeggeri. Urlavano ai passeggeri che si trovavano davanti alla porta ma non assistevano i passeggeri che fanno domande e dicono: "Non lo so". C'era anche un autista che ha risposto con una risposta "intelligente" a una domanda posta. Sentendosi presuntuoso che nessuna prova potesse essere raccolta comunque.
