Ho compilato una domanda per l'assistenza di sollievo poiché la mia mamma di 87 anni continuava ad avere problemi di salute e vivevo a 30 miglia di distanza, cercando di gestire 2 famiglie e lavorare a un'ora di distanza. Mia madre viveva nella contea di Lexington e io vivo ad Aiken. Dato che non vivevo nella contea di Lexington, mi è stato detto che non potevano aiutarmi. Mi hanno detto di contattare il Consiglio inferiore di Savannah e compilare una domanda di tregua, cosa che ho fatto. Mi hanno detto che poiché mia madre non viveva nella contea di Aiken, non potevano aiutarmi. Che cosa?? Quindi indovina cosa è successo poi ??? NON HO RICEVUTO AIUTO !!! Dicono ai caregiver di chiedere aiuto, ma quando lo fai, nessuno aiuta. Mi fa male sapere che DOVREBBERO aiutare ma rifiutato ....

Il Central Midlands Council è stato una fonte di grande sostegno durante la malattia di mio marito. Il loro caregiver Grant ci ha dato servizi di tregua in modo che potessi fare una pausa tanto necessaria nel prendermi cura del mio amore. La loro sovvenzione per le forniture è arrivata proprio quando il costo delle forniture di carta stava mettendo in difficoltà le nostre finanze. Grazie Midlands per il tuo aiuto.
