Abbiamo fatto il viaggio in canoa di Mendenhall per avere un incontro ravvicinato con il ghiacciaio. È stato un viaggio fantastico e David, la nostra guida turistica, era incredibilmente ben informato e divertente. Ci ha portato fino a Nugget Falls ed era anche molto consapevole dei limiti di una canoa piena di vogatori alle prime armi. David ha reso questo viaggio ancora più speciale per noi. Grazie!!!

Ho lavorato per Alaska Travel Adventures per alcuni mesi la scorsa estate. Le persone erano abbastanza gentili anche se l'intera faccenda era molto disorganizzata. Avrei dovuto essere un autista di autobus / furgoni, ma invece sono stato messo a lavorare come receptionist in ufficio per un mese intero fino a quando non sono tornato a casa. A malapena mi è stato chiesto se stavo bene, hanno solo insistito sul fatto che sarei stato bravo nel lavoro e che invece ero necessaria lì. Non mi piaceva lì, era tutto troppo occupato solo per noi due. Molto disorganizzato, mi sono messo nei guai per cose che non ho fatto, frenetico tutto il tempo. Mi sono iscritto all'alloggio per dipendenti, siamo rimasti bloccati 6 in un appartamento, 2 in una stanza anche le stanze molto piccole, un solo bagno in cui il cesso si è rotto alcune volte ed è rimasto rotto per diverse ore. Nessuno mi aveva avvertito che sarebbe stato così. Non lo consiglierei a persone a cui piace un lavoro organizzato in anticipo, prevedibile. Mi sento come se fossi abbastanza flessibile, ma anche io ero sconcertato da quanto fosse disorganizzato e dalla mancanza di rispetto per alcuni di noi dipendenti.

Siamo stati benissimo con il capitano Jay e Sara oggi e ho visto delle bellissime balene. Sara ha intrattenuto tutti con la sua conoscenza della zona e della fauna selvatica. La loro barca è nuova, veloce e alla moda, anche se probabilmente è qualcosa a cui solo i ragazzi sono interessati. In ogni caso, questo è stato un modo malvagio per iniziare la nostra avventura in Alaska e tutti dovrebbero dare un'occhiata a questi ragazzi! Dobbiamo anche ringraziare Stirling e Mary per averci accompagnato da un posto all'altro e per averci segnalato tutte le aquile calve e le cose divertenti a Juneau.
