Vivendi (Formerly known as Vivendi Universal) is a French multinational company which produces and distributes motion pictures, television films, and music. The company was founded in 1981 and is based in New York City. It operates as a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal SA.The Vivendi Create Joy Fund is Vivendi's corporate social responsibility program. Vivendi funds NGO and charities whose projects are dedicated to at-risk teenagers and young people in need. Entertainment and communication may offer joy and encourage self-esteem and exchanges. Each year, the Vivendi Create Joy Fund supports over 30 projects headed by NGOs with the aim of helping young people achieve their full potential through Vivendi's businesses. The program is developed in the United States, in Europe (France and United Kingdom), in Africa and in Brazil.
