Goodman was founded in 1927 by Harry I. Goodman who quickly established the company as the best in class painting provider in Atlanta. His son-in-law, Leonard Diamond, joined the business in 1951, with a focus on expanding Goodman’s reach outside of the city. As the growth in Atlanta and the Southeast skyrocketed, Goodman grew along with it. Jeffrey Diamond joined the firm in 1984 and Richard Diamond joined in 1986. In 2000, they assumed the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Co-Presidents. Since that time, the company has continued to grow, expanding its footprint throughout the Southeastern United States.
